Emma Evangeline is an artist and best-selling illustrator based on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Her works are deeply inspired by the forests, coastlines and native birdlife of Aotearoa. She strives to capture the pristine energy and intricate beauty of the land through her detailed acrylic paintings.

I painted this in 2021 after taking a beautiful shot of the Mathesons Bay Creek with the sun shining on it. If you look in the top left corner you can see a figure camouflaged in the forest, looking up at divine light.
