Kirsty Senior and Sophie Gilmour are the owner-operators behind FATIMAS a beloved Middle Eastern-inspired eatery with three busy stores in Auckland. Kirsty, a co-founder of FATIMAS, brings decades of experience and a deep passion for delivering high quality, high flavour cuisine. Sophie, a prominent figure in Auckland’s hospitality scene, co-founded the successful eatery Bird on a Wire before joining Fatima’s in 2018.

As FATIMAS approaches its 30th anniversary of operation, Kirsty and Sophie are excited to share more than 100 recipes in their forthcoming cookbook, FATIMAS that comprise cherished in-store recipes, new ideas developed through the lens of their cooking style and clever twists on some Kiwi favourites. This collection aims to educate, inspire and introduce New Zealanders to some of Fatima’s favourite ingredients. The book is a reflection of their dedication to restaurant-quality, flavourful cuisine, prepared with care and love, and their passion for bringing people together through the joy of food.
