Meet Bex Lipp, one half of Wildling Books!
Wildling Books was formed when multi-award winner author/illustrator Craig Phillips and author and business owner Bex Lipp joined forces. They wanted to create their own range of books with full creative freedom. With an amazing ability to bounce ideas off each other and really let their inner WILDLING get carried away, the crew have been able to produce a series of best-selling and award-winning picture books about emotions and wellbeing, with more amazing books in the pipelines. The Wildling range of books are created to empower children, to start conversations around emotions, and promote wellbeing. Empowering and inspiring children through stories.

Tell us about yourself!
I live in Taupō with my husband Chris & We just celebrated 21 years of marriage. I have three sons and I am their biggest fan! I LOVE trees & I love lifting weights!
What sparked your purpose and passion to create wildling books?
I am passionate about mental health because I understand deeply what it is like to be in the darkness. Through some of the hardest times of my life came the most positive creative energy that has enabled me to build a business trying to help others to keep themselves and their kids happy and healthy. I never dreamed I would be a writer as I dropped out of school, but I think when you are passionate about something, you find a way to make it happen! which is how Wildling Books was created with my business partner and good friend (not my husband, many people get that confused) Craig.
What product are you the proudest of and why?
How Do I Feel, the emotions dictionary book, is one that I am most proud of, as it helps children, teenagers and even adults, to understand themselves on a deeper level.
It has also helped me achieve things I never thought possible like being a finalist in the NZ Book Awards and receiving a Storylines Notable Book award, being on the Whitcoulls Top 50 Kids’ Books for the past few years. The book is about to be launched in the USA and the UK later this year and I hope that it helps even more people around the world.
